I agree. Who would want to take a DB7, one of the world's most beautiful cars, and make a guppy out of it ?

It looks much, much better in the metal.

They have two of these now at Long Stratton in Norfolk for sale, both priced at 139 thousand GBP.

As mentioned they look superb in reality and the guppy comment is (IMO) unwarranted.

Beautiful in the flesh - but perhaps an acquired taste. The difficulty is trying to find a home for the front number plate that looks 'right'. Even the obvious 'sticker' on the bonnet doesn't quite work.

they are nice to drive, even if the seat has a wierd angle to the base.

In the flesh they look nice, but the i6, or V12 Vantage is better looking.

The rear is amazing in design terms. I agree that it is difficult to fathom where the plate should go. Maybe on the bonnet?

Sadly not. I spent about half an hour on Saturday at the Heritage Motor Museum trying to like one. It was impossible.

Bugger off Zagato. The DB4 was nice. But not the V8. Or the DB7. Just leave, please.

There is a reason so many of these Zagato DBs are still on the market.....they could never sell them since they're more weird than beautiful. Ian Callum's proportions were well integrated and balanced in the DB7, while the Zagato was a lame exercise in clunkiness. When all of the Astons are on display at the Pebble Beach Concours, it's interesting to watch admirers smile as they walk down the line of cars....until they get to the Zagato, when they then wince. Even the little boys recognize that the "emperor got no clothes", no matter what the sales people say.

No, you're going to buy a DBS, aren't you?
