AM V12: Jaguar or Ford based?

After reading some articles on the AM V12 engine I'm confused.

One says it's a Jaguar V12 derivate, another says it's a double Duratec V6. What is it?

Is there much difference between the DB7 V12 and theDB9 V12?

IIRC it is indeed based on the Duratec, and not at all related to the old Jag V12.
