Seriously elegant car, but I doubt if I would ever buy one as the driving characteristics have got to be a compromise on the coupe.

I think they have mixed up their shots, that is the DBS gear stick. Remember seeing it in the original DBS Bond mag articles.

You are in luck then as what you have said is not true of the roadster, the driving dynamics are nigh on, if not, the same as the coupe, hence they have not used the usual Volante moniker as it could give the wrong impression (i.e. the impression you have automatically adopted) of making the car sound like a softer version of the coupe.

Looks sooooooo much better in the flesh and also in black, imo

Blimey - where did you get to drive one and see it in the flesh may I enquire?

Is that just a slight hint of sarcasm

However, yes you may enquire.

For one, I never said I drove it.......but I know a man who has

As for seeing it, I was at the factory a few months ago and saw a black one sitting there looking super, super sexy Better than the red, IMO.

Only the tiniest bit - for which I apologise. Spending too long on here has obviously made me a cynic!
You obviously know a different man - the one I know said the car felt 5%'softer' but you really had to feel for the difference. Of course it won't be the finished article yet either. The construction method of these cars should I agree mean little or no difference between coupe and roadster.
Interested in you views on looks - I love soft tops but could never buy a 911 cab. over a coupe as they just look wrong IMO. Fingers crossed that AM get it right!

Don't worry, the man I know is probably one of the best qualified to give an opinion and he said he felt barely any difference at all, however, this was a couple of months ago so maybe more exposure may lead to a differing opinion, I shall enquire.

As for the looks, I know what you mean with the 911 cab, it's backside seems to get a bit bloated, all IMO of course (just incase some 911 drivers pop over ).

However, the V8 looks good enough to eat, I started to lick it, but got dragged away rofl

Honestly, those pics of it in red don't do it justice.

Don't worry about the sarcasm thing, this place is rife with it

Whilst not disagreeing with the concencus re: Cab Porsche`s , IMO with some suspension modifications and the rear window opened, it`s not a pig in a poke

Must admit, for a 911 cab that almost looks good! Scrub that, it does look good. I have more of a prob. with them top down though when the 'hunch back' looks worse IMO.
