Give A-Plan a ring. When I insured my Elise they were half the price of direct line, and did not require trackers etc. I know that the Elise is not comparable with an Aston, but the difference in the quotes was an eye opener especially as I was only likely to do a small mileage in the Elise. I currently insure my SLK55 AMG with Direct Line but will be seeking alternative quotes when that insurance is up.

I use A-Plan for the Sagaris and they were excellent. They have insured me through Motor Direct.

I called A-plan (each year I test the market to see if Forbes can be beaten) and I had a bad experience. Bad communication, quoting a £1,100 when Forbes can do £700 (with EU and breakdown cover)

My personal experience suggests that they are not competitive and due to misunderstanding I would feel uneasy in insuring my Aston with them.

Forbes is the best for me.

My insurance is cheap, but it has a £1,000 excess. Does anyone know if there's additional insurance I can get from another company against the excess? My insurance company won't let me reduce the excess

forbes has a £250 excess on mine and £100 on the windscreen (should recieve a stone chip). I recently had to change the front windscreen and the whole process was effortless on my side.

Brought the car to Rikki Cann, took pictures, phone call to insurance done by him... perfect

Forbes was and is great. If you own an Aston you should get a further discount if you join the Aston Martin Owners Club.

This is my personal opinion based on real experience
