AMV8 Exhaust and MP3 player
Discussion
I spoke to works service today about a switch to do the "fuse 22" job, which he said they would do (not sure about price yet). The chap advised that AM have made up a new sports silencer for the exhaust which is about to be tried out and suggested that I might consider it for my car which is due in about 3 weeks. The sports silencer may not be ready in time however, so they are keeping me advised. It will be lighter that the current system and the tone might be adjustable.
I also asked about connecting an MP3 player. It can be done. They've not done an AMV8, but have done a DB9. It requires making up a control box, wiring this via a modulator into the radio wiring system and removal/replacement of a great deal of interior panelling to do it - the price.......... a cool £1,200 !!!!!

That's approximately 1.5% of the cars price, in comparison, my son opted for a single CD slot in his first car, it was £300, that was 5.1% of the price of his car, stop being such a tight arse
the maths in this users post may be completely wrong, however due to this post being created on a Friday night, when alcohol is freely consumed, this is completely forgiveable
