Thinking about changing my Masser for a DB7 Vantage amongst other options. One black mark for me against the DB7 is that I think the wood trim looks a bit dated. I seem to recall seeing cars with aluminium trim or poss carbon. Have I dreamt this, can it be retro fitted?

Cheers

IIRC, there was a Dunhill(?) Edition that had an interior akin to that you are explaining. I remember thinking it looked a lot better than the wood.

Edited to say :

Found it

The DB7 GT had carbon-effect panels instead of wood. And a high proportion of DB7s were fettled by Works Service at purchase so there must be at least a few with non-standard interiors.

Mine has carbon trim just like Jermey's picture above. It was definately an option.

Alu & Carbon were both trim options that could be specced for extra money. Think I got quoted somewhere between £1200-£1700 (+ VAT, no doubt) to have the wood replaced with aluminium after-the-fact on one when I was looking.

About to put mine up for sale with (factory) aluminium trim (and sports exhaust, and cleared indicators, and white dials, and decent colour combo, and it's a manual...), if you're interested...
