Hi guys,
Not sure if this is the right place to be posting but thought I would let you know I am going to be selling my AMV8. Originally put my name down for it nearly 4 years ago when my children were not even a twinkle inmy eye. Now the car is here and so are my children, the two things are not overly comaptible. Furthermore, we had a break-in at home two days ago, b******s smashed through back door and made a mess of house in an attempt to find the keys for the car, thankfully they were well hidden, but my wife has insisted I now sell as she doesn't feel comfortable home alone on occasion with a car on the driveway that attracts that sort of attention - can't blame her really!
Anyway, if anyone has any interest please reply or PM me car details as follows:

Really sorry to hear about the break in. By coincidence the new owner of my AMV8 rang me the other day. Had exactly same thing happen but this time they found the keys and took the car - 3am while he was in bed! He got downstairs just too late (probably fortunately really) but rang tracker and 2 hours later the B******S where caught and the car retreived undamaged. Makes tracker - which I always begrudge paying for - look like a cheap option suddenly. Glad you enjoyed a fab. car for a while.

Paul,

Really sorry to hear that. I see you're in Beaconsfield, only about 5 miles from me.

We had both our cars nicked recently in similar circumstances. Both retrieved thanks to Tracker.

Police round here have got a busy time of it investigating this as so many are being stolen in this manner currently. They did appear to take it very seriously, but hearing this does suggest that too many thieves are still at large

Hate this sort of thing.

Ive deliberately taken a different tack because of this now. I leave my keys in relatively open sight in the house. I also insist other members of the house do so, as my car is often parked behind one or two others. As far as Im concerned if ppl are breaking into my house for my car keys, I want them out ASAP with the least amount of damage, hassle and potential for bloodshed or GBH. Insurance takes care of things being nicked, only pure dumb luck takes care of ppl being stabbed or shot for no good reason.

I agree, i leave my keys in plain sight if someone was to actually get in. This is not to mean i leave them in places that can be seen through the letter box.

Sorry all the same Paul.
