You could try talking to Chiltern Aston: www.db7centre.co.uk/

cheers for that, has anyone tried modifying the rear silencers? opening them up and taking out the baffle,s
Not yet. I'm considering having a play with the breathing on the car, though... the sports pipes just aren't quite "enough" for me. I think the cats are about to inexplicably pack in.

You will have problem come MOT time if you do that, better find some racing cats to reduce back pressure, providing you can get them for Astons!

I've read that you can cut the front two boxes off, weld the pipes together and have a throaty sound in return. Haven't heard of anyone actually doing it, but the suggestion has been put forward.
This has been done and witnessed by my indy while working at HWM. Apparently it sounds very nice indeed! I'm currently looking into options here, since Aston want the thick-end of £1500 for their sports exhaust, whereas dropping out two of the four silencers sounds like a much cheaper option. Any other options gratefully received.
I have developed a proper multi branch manifold for the 6 cylinder 3.2L cars, this and work on the head gives a very hefty boost to the engine power,- something of the order of 50+ bhp.
Bearing in mind that cars with compressors desperately need extra flow on the exhaust side (as the inlet charge is compressed), this and the extra head work removes the rather lack lustre low speed performance and the mid range flats the engine is known for, without even having to change much else.
Though you might like to know there IS 1 decent AJ6 engine tuner out there and the results are really spectacular.
On blueprinted atmo engines I get a whopping 70bhp power jump, making the V12 cars look rather silly, thirsty and slow.
Don't knock it 'til you tried it
