Really can't see why you would want a sports exhaust for an AMV8, simply have the standard one "uncorked"! You couldn't possibly want anything louder & the few extra horses you may gain wouldn't be worth the expense & hassle.
Or am I missing something?

Sorry didn't mean to be negative, all I meant was if you haven't had yours uncorked that is the way to go & save a chunk of cash, I simply can't imagine a louder exhaust!

Bund is letting you know that pulling out fuse 22 stops the bypass valve on the exhaust working, making it open & loud all the time, although some say it may affect other things, so best get your dealer to "uncork" the exhaust sytem! Most do it for free, if you ask very nicely!!

Did you just pull the fuse and that was it?

You just pull the fuse out but make sure it's the one in the boot not the one under the bonnet

It's the bottom right hand fuse in the boot fuse box - a 20 amp fuse coloured yellow. Rip it out!

My dealer advised me that if fuse 22 was removed and engine problems arose it was possible the factory would not support warranty claims

My dealer are totally happy with the uncorked exhaust situation and confirmed with the factory before doing it that there are no implications for me as the owner.

I have it on VERY good authority (no names - paranoia is rife at Gaydon on this issue) that no harm will occur if the fuse is taken out - but that some of the more 'permanant' modifications being undertaken might eventually cause a problem with the motor for the butterfly valves.

I've had same feedback. Remove fuse - good. Jamming valve open manually - which a few dealers have done - bad. Still don't know why people bother. I like the fact that car is - relatively - quiet at low speed then all hell breaks loose at 4500rpm. IMO an Aston making a load of noise at low speed is deeply uncool but,hey that's just me.
