Sorry for the basic question, but I am new to Aston Martin...

Is it possible to use WS for the standard service events eg the 1,000 mile service? Does it cost any more?

"Yes" and "Possibly"

Yes you can use them for normal servicing. Cost is relative to labour rate and as they are part of the "factory" they are quite expensive. However it is well worth it, in my opinion.

Yes Work Service is worth it, all the complaints I hear about Astons usually stem from poor dealer servicing. When I lived in Berkshire WS would pick the car up and deliver it back for a cost of about £100. The servicing bill was the same as any other dealer. Give Kevin Moor a ring at WS you will find him very helpful 01908 619149

I have used the Aston dealership Grange of Exeter for the last 4 years to service my DB7. At the last 2 services I reported a suspension clunk and mis-fire, neither of which were attended to. I therefore sent the car to Lancaster in Reading where they told me that it was obvious that these items should have been attended to much earlier and the resulting bill was well over £5000!
I wrote to the CEO of AML and the Customer services chief, copied to Grange of Exeter and BBC Watchdog, asking for compensation for this oversight.
Grange denied that I ever reported the faults and refused to pay anything.
I am thinking of taking them to Court.
Can anyone give me any hep or advice?
Thanks, William.

i found works service very unhelpful.
having booked in my db7 vantage to diagnose a potentially difficult management (non start) problem they decided (after wasting 2 weeks of my time),that they didn't want to work on it !!!!AND...then couldn't be bothered to tell me until i contacted them to check on its delivery.TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL
fine ,its up to them if they want to cherry pick their jobs, i do the same ,but i do treat a potential customer with a little more respect
