To any owners out there,
I closed the drivers door this morning but the window had not dropped and banged against metal trim - no damage, but after re-starting the car the window still didn't drop down when opening, so was forced to lower it manually so the door could shut properly - anybody else experienced this??
Thanks
Paul

Never experienced that in the DB9 or V8. Best you give the dealer a buzz on that one.

Never had that on any of mine but sounds like you need to reset the door/window module- so it remembers its settings.

you had best "relearn" the window module:

1) key on
2) close the door
3) push the "down" window button, and hold it down, both while the window winds to the bottom of it's travel, and hold it down, even when the window is fully down, until you hear a "click" from the door module. (this is the auto shut off relay"
4) then push button in the other way to raise the window, again, push and hold until both the window is up, and the relay has "clicked"

this should have relearned the up and down positions for the window. it should now work as normal by dropping 5mm when you open the door, if this hasnt fixed it, something is broken!

Hi Guys,

Be careful with this guys.....mine did this on an almost daily basis (I must have reset it 20 or 30 times), it would be fine for a while and then would go again. The door module was faulty (twice) and also led to the regular running down of the battery (5 times).....a very annoying condition when you are about to go out and there isn't even enough 'juice' to light the starter button.

Reset it as stated, but if it happens again .....go to the dealer and get the module checked for current drain.

Had all the above probs. Dealers have now had mod. instructions from factory so, now that we've all acted as unpaid dev. drivers, get your dealer to sort
