Hi guys,
I got my car the other day, and am loving it. I seem to remeber you two both having taken delivery some time ago and I was just wondering what sort of ground you have covered and if you have had any problems to date.
Thanks
Paul

Especially the gearbox...does it get easier?! In particular around the 1st to 2nd area, (more so when cold in fairness).

The box just needs to get warmed up then it's fine.

I've done 2271 miles so far and not a single problem (touching wood).

LOVE IT !!

Those mileages seem to show that you go everywhere together all bar 1 mile when one of you missed a turning.

Other than destroying both driver's side wheels by running it into a curb, I've had no problems with the car.

I hope to have my car back in two or three weeks depending on availability of parts and I'm grateful for insurance as the repair costs are astronomical for what otherwise was "minor" damage. So far have driven about 2000 miles in six weeks of ownership.

When you said destroyed, you wasnt mucking about!!!!!!

I thought you meant you had badly curbed both wheels!!!!! More than one scratch to me is destroyed, i dont have words for what happened to your wheels.

Sorry for the wheel accident though mate. Soon be back on the road.

I know they say that if you are going to do a job, do it properly, but that is a bit extreme

I was entering a highway using an entry that I wasn't familiar with. It started out as a nice and gentle curb...as as I entered it my phone started ringing and my stupid Jabra bluetooth handsfree didn't work so i was trying to fish my mobile out of my jeans pocket. If any of you have tried to do that, you know that the easiest way is to stretch you leg out so it's easier to get the phone out of the pocket...well that's when this gentle turn became very sharp right at the end and because of my outstretched leg I couldn't turn the steering wheel enough. Anyway, the car rubbed up against the curb and at that speed the spokes on the driver's side wheels just disintegrated. Luckily I didn't hit anyone or anything else.

This happened two weeks ago and my insurance company is still "processing" the claim. There was some suspension damage caused when the car was winched onto the flatbed, and one composite body panel has to be replaced because of a tear caused by flying wheel fragments:

I'm hoping to get the car back by the end of the month, though I'm not sure as today I'm planning on setting the insurance company's office on fire and that might complicate things.
