Some advice please

Should someone that I know who has a deposit down on an AM V8 that will be specced in early May (what does that mean for delivery date?) but who doesn't want to own it anymore:
(a) ask for his deposit back?
(b) buy the car and sell it on straight away?
(c) do (b) above, with the dealer's involvement?
(d) sell his place in the queue (though I think that's not allowed)?

Best moral sense is (a). What makes best economic sense?

If he knows he doesnt want it then ask for deposit back now as the dealer will need to sell the car before he will get his deposit back once he has specced it. He wont get above list.

Best econonomical sense is (a) as well Im afraid, its too late to make money on places as the market has been saturated by prats taking queue places from genuine customers. No profit will be made.

Yes, that can be very delicate!! Anyway... I cancelled my order and got my money back within 5 days!
