Picked up mt V8 yesterday...in the rain. Still an event though. After a less than satisfactory dealer experience regarding the invoicing of the car and the insertion of some eroneous insurances, I noticed that the car invoice now states monotone rather then duotone. I questioned them as my idea of duotone is different colours on the bolster and main part of the seats. Mine simply has one colour on the seats and a different colour on the dash. Unbelievably they were not sure what is duotone and what is monotone. They promised to refund me if my car is infact monotone. I paid as just wanted out of there.
As I did not spec the car, and picked up a cancelled order after 18 months of waiting, could someone enlighten me.
Cheers,
Rob

Technically, if there are two different colors of leather in the car then it is duo-tone. The issue is that when you order the car, you can specify upper and lower dash colors as well as inner and outer seat colors. Based on your description of the car you purchased, when ordered the customer chose to have the seats be all one color and the dash a different color. That is still duo-tone but not probably in the sense you are expecting.

I also ordered duo-tone but chose different inner and outer colors for the seats as well as upper/lower for the dash:
