I’m thinking of trading up from a TVR to a V8 Vantage I’m not one for waiting 2 years so I’m looking at those available now, canceled orders etc. can anyone offer me any advice like what options are must haves no go colours and any extras which the dealer would normally be expected to throw in and any thing else which which i need to think about !

Cheers!

Most of the cars being built seem to be silver or black, whether that makes them good or bad choices depends on your viewpoint. There is an argument that says satnav is a must have. You aren't going to get much thrown in by dealers, it's a seller's market

i have just sold my TVR and jumped at a cancelled order i dont really think that there are any badly specked cars out there, even in bright pink it would still look fantastic.

My car arrives at the end of next week - and looking less likely that I'll take delivery - my daughter arrived last year, and since then priorities (and importantly those of my wife!) have changed somewhat...

It's in Meteorite, black leather, red stitching and pretty much loaded (sat-nav, 19" wheels, upgraded stereo, red brake calipers etc - 88k). Dealer has been great - he wants to sell me the car, but if I don't take it he says he'll have no problem selling it on, but if I know of anyone who wants it to let him know. As it'll save both him and me time (and I get my deposit back when he sells it), thought I'd post here. But please don't try to persuade me to take it, it's been a hard enough debate with my wife so far

If anyone is interested in this, email me and I can put you in contact with the dealer or send you the full spec sheet.

Scott.

I don't know what it would be like in your position, as I don't have a wife or a daughter, but I would have to be very very reluctant not to accept one of those beauties. The sound, oh, the sound! MY GOD THE SOUND!!!!!!!!

You will be deluding yourself if you don't take it, you know it makes sense! If only for a few months, at least you will have experienced it. Hell I don't even have one, but I think if mine were coming at the end of next week I could at least sacrifice something to have for just a few months. Not even like you will lose that much money as the market is strong for them.

Have I helped at all? Just trying to keep a fellow PHer on the straight and narrow!

I was offered a few cancelled orders but they were either without the up-graded stereo or without a phone module or without both.

I don't have either and I'm not missing them. The basic sound system is fine, but I usually have it switched off cos the sound of the car is all I need...
