Good Morning guys,
Good news, I got a phone call yesterday that my V8 had arrived at dealers and pending PDI it was ready to be picked up, probably Tuesday next week. I know this is a question I have asked in the past, but could those who have had experience tell me what exactly I need to get them to checkout/resolve prior to delivery based on the 'known' troubles people have had so far. Aslo are there any extra things I need to get them to do. I have an extra few days on my hands before I would be ready to pick the car up (Skiing!), so whilst teh car is sitting at dealers I'd like to get as much as possible resolved. My list is as follows, please add as you see fit.
Many Thanks

Exhaust de-corked
Battery issues - people experience flat battery due to door module
Rattling air bag in steering wheel
Squeaking brakes
Sat-nav issues - not being able to pick up satellite

Furthermore any advice on how I should deal with the handover especially if there any problems.,

Kind regards

Paul

Hi Paul, to the best of my knowledge the door module problems are now a thing of the past, squeeking front brakes are mainly due to people not driving the car as it should be. (ie at more than a 20mph down the high street in 1st)and the dealers i have talked to will not un-cork the silencer untill it has had its first service, that is if they are willing to uncork it at all. Must admit to not knowing about the sat-nav and air bag problems. Having come from a TVR your list seams very short ha ha ha!

I've had it out for six weeks and not received any warnings...in fact the car went through it's first (1,000 mile) service with the fuse out and the dealer reported no problems. It takes about 10 seconds to remove the fuse, and most of that is spent trying to read the tiny fuse numbers embossed on black plastic fuse box. The fuse box in question is the trunk/boot on the right hand side. Just make sure not to break the fuse and keep it in a safe place. Also make sure the car is completely switched off when you do this.
