? DB7s handbuilt?
Discussion
Think of them as assembled by hand.
Like other manufacturers now, they have other components bought in, and are then assembled.
However, there is a large amount of hand finishing in the factory, and stuff like seats, carpets etc are also all cut/stitched by hand.
The engines are assembled by hand as well (and balanced/machined by hand).

Not an answer to your question but fortunate to have a tour of the factory a few years ago. 2 engine builders building the last of the big uns that would be allowed for emmisions etc. 60 hours an engine build, by hand. Body panels, chasis etc all by hand. A very informative day. There were cars unsprayed going back to the body shop because there were flaws in the body work, buggered if we could see them. Then a tour of the maintenance shop the other side of the road. Restorations, servicing....wow.
A day to remember.

Hi jmorgan
I've been shown round too. Did you get to see the rather amusing sight of them loading an engine onto a trolley and wheeling it across the main road to the other side of the factory? Can't imagine that happening at any other manufacturer.
It was a fantastic experience though, and I couldn't find the blemishes that'd been marked down either.
