Im new to this forum, just purchased a 2004 db7 gt,which is my first aston, should this car have a sports exhaust as standard?,it sounds a bit tame even over the 3500 rpm range, would have bought a vanqish if they had a proper gear shift like the viper, still love the db7 looks cool and goes well.

Your friendly local A-M dealer will charge you £2k for a sports exhause which apparently merely replaces the small middle silencers and maybe the rear outlet pipes (they wouldnt fit my Zagato as it's different at the back). There's a place in Macc called JP exhausts ask for Big Dave (if I remember rightly). They seem very good, I am proposing to take my Zag there in the next few weeks maybe we can get a deal for two...?

Why thank you - I am, I admit, pretty pleased with it. Trouble is it's almost too nice to use. I took it out yesterday just up to the village to the shops, and returned to it to find a small group of young guys taking photos of it with their phonecameras so I assume they liked it too! (either that or they were sizing it up for stealing it..!)
Hope Blackviper is pleased with his too - it sounds great (or hopefully literally will do soon!)
