My 1995 DB7 hard top, manual, lets in water somewhere at the windscreen end of the engine bay. It gets underneath the rubber mats in the footwells, without hardly getting the carpets wet!! Anyone out there with similar problems or ideas of where to look first??
Thanks
Chris

I had water dripping on my feet (navigator had same!), on my 1999 DB7 Volante. Stratstones suggested it was the Aircon defrost not draining. They said a common problem was the drain pipes either side of the gearbox being blocked. solution was to blow through using an airline, from underneath the car. Hope this helps.

bearing in mind the db7 is based on the chassis and substructure of the xjs(designed circa 1974) water ingress is likely.
i would take a good look at the rubber seals around the doors as they lose their elasticity with age

I have seen 2 early cars with the windscreen leaking. The sealant has come adrift from the body. To test this, remove the plastic panel under the wipers (careful it can break easy) put some tissues on the dashboard, and blow an air line along the lower edge of the screen. If the tissue moves, you need to reseal the screen.
