I won't be able to as I don't have a garage, i was wondering if just a car cover would be sufficiant for protecting either a DB7 or Vanquish from the weather. I have to either park the car on the road or in my drive. This is a normal road in an ordinary street. An Aston will stand out quite a bit seeing my neigbour has a Hyundia Accent and my other neigbour a Fiesta so i want to try and hide it a bit.

Also has anyone had any sort of rust trouble with an earlier DB7?

rather than ask every question you have on a single thread just keep them to one.
There was a DB7 buying guide posted on here somewhere too.

And the amoc.org website is a fountain of knowledge.

The advice I have always seen (from classic car mags etc.) is: Try to avoid using a cover if possible....they keep moisture in and often keep it in contact with the car. Failing a de-humidified bubble....the next best things are a well ventilated garage or the open air where moisture can quickly evaporate. I would think that the Vanquish should have no problems with normal weather, and in reality even the DB7 will probably suffer far more from what comes up from the road than what comes down from the sky!

Security is of course another matter, but I would think that anybody wanting to do damage will not be put off by a cover and the curiosity factor may actually draw more attention.

Other than convertibles or older cars, I have always left my 'better' cars on the drive with no adverse effect.
