Will be looking for a vanquish next year and wondered if anyone could give me any advice as I ahve no idea about potential problems, costs, running costs, what to look for etc....

I have owned TVR's adn Ferrari's before so i am no virgin to niggles and problems but i have heard a few horror stories circulated about 10k per year servicing costs etc...and I am sure they are overinflated. Its either a vanquish or a 575/550 to be a regular user car in addition to my 355 ...any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're probably better off going to the AMOC forum at http://p088.ezboard.com/fastonmartinownersclub75168f

I have owned an 03 Vanq for a year. Overall it has been a fantastic experience but running costs/depreciation are high.
AM at Newport Pagnell do menu servicing, you need to service it every six months, cost about £900 each time provided nothing wrong. Depreciation is bad and will continue to be so because of the Vanquish S. Also the DB9 and AMV8 have made affected the residuals.
My car broke down once, and an orange light came on which needed attention. Apart from that it has been an absolute scream and you get so many positive looks in it.
It has been truly fantastic owning one, but it likes the open road and struggles in town with its paddle gear box. I am looking forward now to selling and getting a more practical tool like a Bentley GT, although I will miss the noise and the looks of the Vanq.
Proceed with caution and do your homework, from what I hear there are some real poor examples out there, and I have had a reasonably lucky time with it. Only buy a 2+2 in the right colours, low mileage and make sure no previous accident damage. Good luck
