DB7 GT Valuation

Please barewith me as I am new to this forum.

Can anybody offer any advice on how to get a valuation on a 2004 DB7 GT? I have found a car that I may be interested in, but think it is overpriced.

Any advice or suggestions as to who to speak to would be appreciated.

You should be able to get a fair idea just by looking around at the market.

The Aston Martin website car locator has four '04 GTs ranging from £64K to £79K - it is probably worth checking other dealers sites and the Sunday Times classifieds as well to get a feel for pricing.

Other than that, why not try making an offer of what you think it is worth/what you are prepared to pay.

The car is towards the top of the price guide and is a private sale. It has very low miles and looks to be in pristine condition. I'm guessing that £70K(ish) is a more realistic price. Any thoughts.

Also, can anybody tell me how long the AM official warranty is on these models?

I would think the best way to value such a car is to phone a dealer and ask for a PX price. You may need a reg number for this.

The current state of the top end sports car market means a lot of metal is trading some way under book price.

I remember the Evo running reports on the Gt, it seemed to come out well.
The only thing on value is that with more DB9's around and the Vantage about to reach it's first owners, these older model Astons are going to get smacked hard in the depreciation stakes over the next couple of years until the good ones that are left gain classic status.

Yes I have seen the P/heads car. Far to many miles for this type of car. The one that I am looking at has 25k miles less than that one, but is £10k more.

Trying to get an idea of future value is indeed hard. If I bought the car it would have a further 5k miles on it in a years time and be worth what? £10K less than I paid?? Maybe?

Jcosh,if this car is an 04 04 reg it `books` trade at £62300 @ 10k miles, I think today `the trade` would pay up to 65k depending on spec` owners, etc. So if you offered £67500, you would in front of all the traders, although there may be other potencial retail buyers.However if you miss it, dont worry, there are plenty of cars for sale at this time of year.

It is an August O4 car with only a couple of thousand miles and one owner with all the usual GT spec. The offer price that you suggest is £10k lower then his current asking price. So we may have a small problem.

I was not really considering a DB7, but this came along and I thought it was worth a closer look. Lovely car.

If you fancy it bid him,he will already have offered it to the trade so he will know the value,then if your keen, you may go up 2k or so. good luck.
