V8 owners in waiting !

After reading Beej's post HERE|http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=208107&f=70&h=0&p=3 and seeing Tiff gun the V8 on Fifth Gear it got me thinking about track days.
I for one will be looking to explore the very limits of the V8 when I get mine :D This will of course include some circuit driving :driving:
I guess after all the testing and pictures from The Ring, that would be THE ultimate venue :D
I know AML currently hold their advanced drivers days at Millbrook, but how about something a bit more adventurous? So I've contacted AML and asked if there's any possibility of an official AML V8 trip to the ring, or to some UK circuits including expert tuition ?

Would anyone else be interested in such jaunt ? :)

Lot's of good trackdays are available, but aren't we talking official AML days ?

Bit better for Aston owners than a Goldtrack day

I would have thought Calum would have been a good choice, given he's considered one of Britains top GT racing drivers, did he not also secure the fastest lap time at Nurburgring?

AM, should be able to hire Spa for an exclusive closed day for owners, without too much trouble.

Not dounting Calum's talents. Just that an exclusive AML day with a group of instructors who know the car inside out is probably the better option IMO.

Sounds good.

Anyone got any good ideas on insurance. On all my previous track days I have been lucky enough to have track day cover on my normal road insurance. However, this is now much harder to find now.

I always found that I drove better (and faster) when someone else was going to pay for a momentary lack of ability.

Sorry guys, I couldn't wait for you. My 'ring trip is planned for March. Of course, I could always be persuaded to go again.
