On several occasions I have left indicators operating after leaving a junction.
Embarrassing, because I try to drive well.

A V8V is enjoyably noisy, which means hardly being able to hear the clicker warning sound.

Have any of you been able to have a louder clicker fitted?
In my daily, the indicator clicking can clearly be heard, so never any blunders, but that might just be because the car is a tranquil wafter.

I find the green flashing light on the dashboard is also a massive clue!

You are not alone, David. I have to remind myself to check there isn't a flashing green light on the dash after using the indicators on a corner that isn't sharp enough to engage the cancelling detent on the indicator stalk, and on many occasions I have noticed the light blinking at me reproachfully a considerable distance along the following straight.

I think it also depends on where your eyeline sits - if you're tall or drive with your head close to the roof the indicator warning lights are less "in your face" and I think having two actually doesn't help (I know which way I'm signalling, AML) as it's two different areas that you have to monitor.

As for a louder audible tone? Not something I've ever heard of and I'm not even sure if the noise is the physical sound of a bimetallic strip clicking as it used to be, or generated electronically (I suspect the latter, and I could relate a tale about the "bong" sound in the DB11 and later cars). Just posting to let you know others suffer your pain.

Not only that.

Could it be that the absolutely brilliant and repeated-ad-nauseum excavation of 900 of the 900 + 400 cell matrix catalyzer plays an important role here? Or maybe even the fact that it´s one out of seven only "Grigio Titaniarico Ferrarico (whatever) Silver" geniously bought with no depreciation at all? Who knows.

BR made an 'adjustment' whereby the 400 cell matrices remain in place. A 3-way exhaust valve switch was fitted (very neatly completely out of sight) and the software was 'updated'.

There is now a wonderful growl at tickover (can be quiet by switching the exhaust valves to closed), sound in the cabin on steady throttle is little changed (valves open), but under hard acceleration, a marvellous thunderous roar occurs (valves open). Just the perfect balance.

The sound remains characteristically Aston Martin and my car must now be one of the best sounding V8Vs, ....

Ah! It is not just me then. I have often left the indicators on by mistake. You are right, you can't hear the indicators clicking when on full tilt.

And it seems a shame to close the exhaust valves and drive like a granny. So I look forward to hearing from anyone who has added some form of beeper.

Can I also suggest a hearing test - marvellous what an ear clear out can do!
