Hi All,

I've been threatening to get back into a V12S for a while and have been keeping my eye out. Looking for another tin top but must admit I keep getting drawn back to Roadsters.

Anyway, I know that Chiltern Aston have now got a Vertigo Blue and Truffle V12S Roadster in stock. It's a stunner (for me anyway), however I know that it's sat around for the last year or so unsold, which makes me wonder why....what's up with it.

Now I know through experience that Chiltern are a solid outfit, so I'm not concerned about that. I'd just like to know why such a unique example sat around for so long at another dealer (Auto Lounge from memory). I'm sure it's been up for over a year, albeit initially at a silly price from memory....but it went down to sensible money a while ago...and still no buyer.

Chiltern don't have any photo's up yet, so no point posting the link.

Does anyone know anything about it at all ?

Cheers
Ryan

Hi Ry
Looks to me like the same car as mileage virtually identical.
Colour is very rare so doubt there would be two cars at the same time for sale with that spec and identical mileage.
Like the paint but not sure I could cope with maintaining that interior !

Bit of a puzzle, this car. I remember seeing it up for sale in June and couldn't understand why it would hang around, but it did. I've seen some speculation that the cream dash might present some quite bad reflections in the windscreen, but that seems on its own an odd reason for a car to be moved on.

Pretty sure it is a one of one on the colour though.

Hi Al,

Hope you're well.

100% sure it's the same car.

I had truffle in my V12SMR if you remember, never caused me any issues, routine wipe down and job done.

I'm just a bit stumped why it say unsold for so long. Probably a genuine reason, but it does make you wonder.

I had truffle in my previous roadster, and I can't say I ever remember a reflection in the windscreen.....maybe I was too busy trying to find the right gear in that 7sp box !

I wonder too whether geographical differences from AL to Chiltern has a part to play ?

Hi Ry
With you on the question of ex Auto lounge roadster for sale!
I was questioning interior and wanted to pop up and see it but they never returned my calls! Shame as they successfully sold my GT8 #008 for me! Not through choice but due to divorce. I opted to buy the flugplatz car at Aston Martin Leeds in the end. I was bouncing between the 2 and was in Leeds so drove it home! Had one a few years ago and my only advice would be to get back in. I moved out of a 911 992 gen Targa GTS and although a great car. It felt good to be back at Aston Martin this week to have a new battery and a few checks done. Yes it was pants down but not as bad as Porsche lol
Good to see some old names on here and look forward to chipping in now I have sorted out my PH account driving

Now that is a stunning colour combo. I do love a white interior (have one on my RRS)

This would require a bit of budget creep, and is a tin top, but having seen Viridian Green IRL the coupe currently on Autotrader would be my choice. It’s an absolutely stunning colour.

Plus that car has the AMR performance pack.

Hi Graham
Glad you got your account sorted.
You need to post your Flugplatz car up.

Hi Graham

If you open your PH account to receiving emails I’ll see whether I can work out how to send you an invite to the very select colourful V12 owners WhatsApp group. I think I may be the only Flugplatz owner in their right now…

It does look fantastic. I've seen it when browsing and thought the colour combination suited it well.
I'd ask the dealer what the story is. From my limited experience of selling Astons (i'm on my 3rd), they do seem to sit around a little while.

The v12v s certainly does take a long time to sell .
When I bought mine there had been some up for sale for nearly two years I think .When I sold mine the dealer it took around 8 months for them to sell it .
