Well I have been fed up with my phone sliding around so I decided to 3d print a holder and a small drink holder integrated within it.

New carbon effect doesn't look too bad and it fits in the centre console.

Looks good! Presumably it's only useful for the duration of that particular phone, but I expect you can alter the design easy enough to accommodate the new phone. Great job!

I can change the slot to fit any phone. Currently it's for my pixel 9 pro with a case on

There are a few different people offering 3D printed phone holders. I preferred a cup holder in my sportshift Vantage, for £30 its nice enough and can hold a cup and trinket tray.

Yeah that's one thing that annoys me is there are no cup holders. This will hold thin bottles or smaller cans 67mm dia.

Took about 30 mins to cad up and a few hours to print

Sadly not designed for modern smartphones - no way will my iPhone 14 Pro Max fit behind that strap.

Although I now have CarPlay from Aston Installations, I still like having my phone on charge, so I use a Quadlock mag mount, on a Quadlock vent mount, all held in place with a custom-built support that holds onto the r/h side dash panel

The base mount

In place with the Quadlock bits

true...but my Galaxy A54 is the exact size of yours and does fit (the strap is elastic)

anyway i'm just messing with you a bit smile

I fail to understand the compulsion everyone has to always stare at their phones...some sort of infant separation anxiety syndrome
I guess i'm Dana Carvey's Grumpy Old Man

i'm thinking of marketing suction cup mount to place on the windshield directly in front of the driver...

Mine is usually switched off in a cupboard. It goes on car journeys with me in case I break down but it's still switched off. I hardly ever need it so hardly ever use it. I did switch it on a couple of weeks ago, but there was nothing on it so I switched it off again. I have so much spare time as a result!

My phone is only ever used in the car for running satnav and very occasionally for streaming music to CarPlay. I can’t remember the last time I made or received a call while driving.
