Is it possible to download Android Auto to 2021 DBX

I have a 2021 DBX with Apple car play already uploaded to the Merc infotainment system, all good it you have an iPhone, which I dont!

The new 707s have AA but is it possible to update my system to AA either by dealer or third party?

After chatting to my local dealer it seems you can not get a software up date to load up Android Auto functionality from Aston.

So I found an aftermarket solution from CarlinKit, who have a device that will Bluetooth to your Wired Apple Car Play but also has the operating system for Android Auto built in, thus letting me mirror my Samsung Android phone functions on the DBX infotainment system. The CarlinKit CPC200-CP2A only cost about £39 on ebay. A great solution to all those Merc infotainments systems without Android Auto fitted to Aston's before the new systems were installed!

The only slight issue with the above kit was the small data cable, it did work in other cars but not the DBX. So I used an alternative data cable which solved the issue.

My 2019 rapide has android auto, can not imagine a system having one without the other !!

Does your Rapide have the Mercedes I infotainment system, if not thats why you have the wired Android Auto! It appears that the new DBX 707s with the Aston infotainment system has both apple carplay and Android Auto, guess they have evolved from past mistakes!
