I had a similar conversation about future models. Of course there will be a performance upgrade in the future but there are no set dates and no mention of superchargers. Certainly Aston have not announced anything.

I too have a LOI for the supercharged - since 2003.

I reckon we'll probably see a "GT" DB9 in around 12 months time, followed by a "GT/S" V8 in 18mths from now, once the initial interest tails off a little.

For the DB9 I reckon it needs 525bhp and a bit of stiffening up in the chassis dept. Maybe flare the arches (just a little) to fit some bigger 20" boots. A nice mesh grille wouldn't go amiss. Oh, and maybe some trim upgrades inside.

For the V8, I reckon about 450bhp should do it.

Then it's time for the Vanquish mk2 to arrive. This needs to be "The Daddy", offering 600bhp and a choice of manual or auto box like the '9. I'm really hoping Aston move the game on styling wise too, as I don't want them getting any more flack about hitting +.25 on the photocopier. I'm sure many owners may want to ensure their new £200k Vanquish isn't mistaken for an £80k V8

Any chance of a job at Gaydon to make sure this plan works out?
