Met a client on Friday who showed me his ticket for a 'launch party' to take place on Cardiff to celebrate the launch of the AMV8, having placed a letter of intent (no deposit) 2 weeks ago.

Try for one moment to imagine my outrage to learn this, particularly as I had 5K down for over 13 months......and no invite !!!

Straight in there on Sat morning to see the ultimate 'Frank Butcher' of a sales manager.
Not in, still at home polishing his signet ring, enormous tacky Breitling and pampered ego. So spoke to General Manager...terribly sorry etc. Then proceeded to tell me I wasn't listed.

Eventually sorted it out, another similarly named guy had been placed on the list and recieved an invitation ....obviously out of the blue. Lucky guy.

All sorted now, position 27.....for the time being.

How on earth are these 'wideboys' allowed to determine priority ?. I suggest one impartial head office, staffed by efficient educated personnel.

Just check your position, and get it in writing or Frank will slip a 'cushty number' on you...guaranteed.

I live in Cardiff, so the dealership shouldn't be too hard to find !

Happens all the time. We've managed to get one for January 06' delivery despite only placing the order about a month ago. A case of who you know, what else you've bought from them and what you could be buying in the future etc

Many dealers have a number of cars available "at short notice" despite what they may say.
