At some point in time the Rapide went from a battery that had a height of 190 mm to one that was 175 mm so check the size of yours or if the current one is a 019 or 017 model.

I had to get this one: Bosch Car Battery 12V 88Ah Type 017 S3012

Batteries (and wipers) I'll buy Bosch as they're the "big name" and the price is very similar to other brands. I think Varta is now same company as Bosch and the only difference is the name on the battery sticker.

Yes, my understanding is that Varta make the batteries for Bosch.
As such my preference is for the Varta one.

I got screw with this varta battery, they snet a 1 year old battery, when connected to a ctek it shows 2 lights only, first there is no way to know the date of fabrication, i sent them this ingfo they said it was the case date , i red an article who said its the termic number at the bottom, or no dif of time bewtween case and baterry.

since with varta you cant know, i do nto recommend you to get aVarta battery, from my experience i lost 230 e .since it droped after iwas searching for all those numbers who dont make any sense, these type of battery was left without any maintenace since its flat probably 6 months ago and its a 1 year old one.

stay away from Varta i will say and buy a battery you can understand the date? or if they alienated me that much, take it in consideration too, i still wait from varta es and usa to confirm me the dates, will see.

get yourself a batery that its simple to understand when it was made cause they never use a charger to maintain this flat shelves batteries.
