Has anyone fitted one of these and if so can you wire it into the charging port in the boot?

I had always planned to and actually bought the little “female” car side connector.

Hard bit is getting a wire outside, you would have to go through the rear lamp grommet then to just above the number plate and mount the connector beside the reverse camera I think.

You have reminded me, if I get some time in the next few weeks I will go fit it and post some photos.

DB9 So slightly different, I placed mine at the front of the car behind and below the number plate.

Thanks for the replies. A couple of questions.
1) wheres the best place to source the parts
2) How do you splice it in to the charging port wiring loom?

I reverse in to my garage so want to mount it at the rear next to the reversing camera.
Would be great to see photos of others installs.

Edit
Found this on eBay : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225749887117?mkcid=16&a...

I had one fitted by Aston Installations. Absolutely brilliant addition to the car. They mounted it next to the number-plate on the horizontal surface of the depression in the bumper.

They removed the rear lamp to pass the cable into the boot area and I'm confident they did then wire it into the boot socket, but I was busy drinking their coffee thumbup

Thanks - I’ll give them a call tomorrow.
Unfortunately they’re several hours away but hoping they can give some diy advice.

In the boot they splice into the cable going to the power outlet/ciggy lighter socket. I did the same. When I fitted one to the front of the new car, I wired to the jump points.

Last year I kitted out my goddaughter's Fiesta with magnetic Ctek charging system for her to use while she's away at uni.

I used a combination of genuine Ctek parts (such as leads/waterproof connectors) grabbed from Amazon and Ebay and bought the actual magnetic plug and socket/dust cover from these guys:

All very straightforward, just make good choices when routing the cable.
