Hi All, I'm a long time reader of forums but i haven't contributed before. I wanted to post this as it may be helpful to anyone with a gaydon era Aston Martin with Ceramic brakes.

This is relevant to V12 Vantage, DBS, Virage, 2013>DB9, and second gen Vanquish. (Note the vanquish has a different stud pattern)

Anyone with these cars will have aging Ceramic Brakes, they probably squeel like a piglet and you probably live in fear of chipping them, getting them wet or cleanign the car with anything other than PH neutral products. I would also wager that you don't regularly track the car and have no use for the CCM's.

You may have seen a conversion kit online with Racing Brake for £4560. The kit fits but it features single piece rotors and the rotors are slightly smaller than your CCM's.

I have recently worked with a gentleman in Lituania who has contacts in china. (that's where brembo make their rotors before you take that deep breath)

(I have a 2013 DB9 for reference) This guy has custom designed and produced repalcement brakes which are the exact same dimensions as the CCM's down the retaining bolts. They are genuie two piece construction with brembo bobbins. They basically look OEM.

They weigh more of course so you're adding to unsprung mass. But.... do you really care? Maybe the DBS and V12V owners would care. DB9 and Virage owners shouldn't care, if you do, you bought the wrong car.

And the best bit...... All in this has cost me less than £2900.

If you're interested, i can put you in touch with this guy. Please email me tom@advantagefs.co.uk

thanks!

Do you use the standard (also very expensive) brake pads with these new steel discs?
