How to turn off keyless entry

I’ve done this on my other cars to fend off jammers. But there doesn’t seem to be an option for this on the modern Astons. Any ideas as to if and how to disable this quite frankly daft and unnecessary feature?

DB11 user manual....

Keyless Go can be deactivated to conserve battery power in the
vehicle key.

To deactivate Keyless Go, double tap Lock Button
To activate Keyless Go, press any button on the vehicle key or
insert the vehicle key into the emergency ignition switch.


For Keyless Entry its no special chapter in the user manual. Maybe the dealer can deactivate it via programming tools?

Just keep your keys in a metal keysafe or a Faraday pouch.

It's only a real risk when the car is parked in a place where a guy in a balaclava waving an antenna about will not attract attention

I have motion sensors from Hard-Off Security on my car fob batteries. There are several on the market

Well you don’t say which model and year you have but for the AM6 Vantage the above description is for keyless entry.

You can test it by double pressing the lock button and then standing at the car door with the key and try opening the door with the handle and it won’t work.

Be sure to do this with your spare key too, as much to conserve the key battery for when you might suddenly need it.

Thanks Everyone. Didn't spot this in the DB11 manual but will try it to deactivate on both keys.
