Apart from Ebay does anyone sell these magenetic CTEK charger adaptors for a more reasonable price - the price on Ebay is extortionate?

Does CTEK even make them? Finding the source of them would be good.

You don't need the CTek one there are others on ebay that are a lot cheaper. I can see one from n spares at £25 or if you want the plug and socket thy start to get more expensive.

AlexT you haven’t mentioned the price point or which eBay seller(s) you have looked at. Clive at https://www.cccharger.co.uk/ sells the adaptors. Not sure if that’s any help to you but many on this forum have bought exhaust valve switches and battery conditioners from him, so he comes well recommended. HTH a bit. BRM.

Those magnetic adapters all seem to be around the same price whether on EBay , Clive’s or Chiltern Aston ,all of whom seem to be around half of the Amazon price.

I was going to ask if anyone had asked Aston Martin works for a price in them, presume they can get hold of them.

I made one: just buy a MagCode connector and use a spare ctek cable for the other end. I think I cut the crocodile clips off a set and used that.

I hadn’t appreciated you were getting a new car - tbh I would simply ask the dealer for one for free !

Thanks for the replies all.

Graeme - yes, very excited. Should be about another 4 months wait for me. Which isn't that long compared to the almost 6 years since I viewed the previous gen!

Alscar - not sure that they even stock them but that's a good idea!

These are on Amazon in the US

https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Superleggera-Compat...

I do not use one of these as they can be problematic. The connection can dislodge or not align well causing a high resistance. These were used on Bentley as well, some had dead batteries when they assumed the car was on a maintainer.

On my DB11, I've hardwired the terminal accessory to a main feed circuit. Easy connect and I can close the bonnet after connection. I feel better with this option.

Ask Clive at cccharger.com

Not only an Aston owner and a great technician, but an all round sound fellow to boot.

Mine came with the CTEK charger, it was just a config from memory. Can’t remember how much it was but nothing much. I bought it off Amazon.
The one on the boot on the Vantage works really well. So much better than having to mess around.
