Hmm, I'll have a couple then, along with one or two other things they are selling

My guess is that the finance company were perhaps, just seeking to obtain the amount they were owed.
Maybe the contract states any excess has to be returned to the debtor.
The following is of course pure fantasy and would not have happened.
1. Car advertised for amount owed.
2. A 'friend' buys the car.
3. Happy days.

Before I bought my current Rapide. I encountered that ad. I decided to google the location and things didn't add up and things looked wonky. I was wondering what was going on.
My sleuthing failed regarding location, but I did notice that the wide variety of 25 underpriced cars, almost every one is priced in the £9,000s. Quite a coincidence.
Each one has been photographed at a different location. Most unusual for a motor dealer business.
Bet they don't accept credit card payments.
Must have been busy creating the 100% positive feedback.
Not a single complaint!
Would that be unique in the world of second hand car dealers?

All the feedback from random people has the same response.
"Good buyer, prompt payment, valued customer, highly recommended"
What are the chances of that
Quite high. It’s one of the standard feedbacks from the drop down box. "Good buyer, prompt payment, valued customer, highly recommended"
What are the chances of that

I agree though, eBay can be a can of worms.

I agree with much of what has been said.
All photographs at different locations, I saw this too and it looked odd.
All feedback is as a buyer only one as a seller. Again odd for an account selling “repossession vehicles”.
What really stumps me is its cash on collection. Not entirely sure how their scam operates as clearly they get no money from you when you click buy it now, and presumably then owe eBay fees.
I guess it could be a simple robbery scam, get unassuming purchaser to turn up with cash and take it from them. But that’d only last once as when reported account banned and police involved.

Are you sure?
I heard that police employees now go to work, keep their heads down and hope to go home uninjured.
Although if they have reports of someone not paying a TV Licence, or saying something provocative online, Sarg tells them to put their tea down and get on the case immediately.
I’ve reported numerous branded watches to eBay which are clearly counterfeit, Rolex, Cartier etc…. and YUP the artificial intelligence bot says my report isn’t justified….. so the auction continues and someone without authenticity knowledge thinking they’re getting a bargain gets scammed.

ebay offer an authenticity check to prevent this sort of thing, my son just sold a watch and it gets sent for an "authenticity check" before going to the buyerGassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
