After a short negotiation and trade in of my 2009 V8 Vantage, my wife and I drove the 140 miles to AM Nottingham to collect my latest AM acquisition.

A 10,000 mile Hyper Red Vantage.

Totally over the moon, loved the drive back and aside from trying to get used to the dash and drive, managed to return a respectable 31.7 mpg ... On the way up with my outgoing car, only managed 21 mpg.

Anyway, enough about boring stuff ... The car which is in pristine condition.

Full frontal PPF and also newly applied PPF to both rear quarters upto the swage line. Pure black interior leather, red stitching and seat belts. Heated and cooled seats, premium audio amongst other things.

Still getting used to the difference in performance but loving it.

Thank you guys, much appreciated.

David, we should have gone to Denbies today, it being the first Sunday of the month.

Next month perhaps.

We should have as it sounded like a decent overall turnout in the end. Next month it is - I’ll get to see your motor too!

Nice looking car, and +2 on both the paint and the wheels colours. The 2C Vantage seems to suit brighter colours well and the "Hunter" grille has grown on me

If I were in a position to replace my VH Vantage I'd be tempted, but I'd be concerned that the car has become more "hard edged" and has lost the "GT"-ness. I would imaging the newer 2C car would better fit my lanky 6' 3" frame

Very nice spec! I think Hyper Red really suits the car. That was a requirement when I was looking for my car.

Nice colour. Works well on that shape and not too bright.

Thanks ... I'm also 6'3", I used to be lanky as a teenager, then became built and now reside more on the portly side smile ... you will find the 2C car very much fitting your frame.

I own both models. The 2C Vantage does the job of grand tourer much better. Much more comfortable and happy to amble along with a lovely supple ride. That’s not saying that it is not a sports car, as it is that too when the mood takes you and is very fast, handles amazingly and puts a smile on your face.

The VH is the better driver’s car. The 2C Vantage is the better car.

Oh, forgot. Congrats Bigga!

Thank you Davil ... and I would agree with your assessment of the two cars. The 2C is far more supple and as a result is more comfortable across the board, the suspension can be dialled in with the three settings, so if a driver wanted the car to feel more like the VH car then putting in in sport+ or track will make the car feel a little more like the VH car.

That's good to hear. Usually with every development of a car the suspension gets harder and harder, and then some buyers add a Sportspack to remove the last vestige of ride quality and boost road noise.
