AM software continues to improve
Discussion
Happy to see that AM's latest software version (912.19.55) makes turning off the annoying assistance features less fiddly. Hopefully with all the major new cars launched now, they can pick up the pace on software improvements this year.
I don't have this upgrade on my DB12 yet, I saw this elsewhere on the internet – I'm hoping there is also a "home" screen link to this feature to make it quicker still.

yes, got the same information from our dealer this week too.
My new 2025 Vantage will arrive this week our dealer. He told me the latest 12hr (very long) SW update is already installed. So we will get in march to my birthday all new improvements.
Cant wait......only 1 1/2 month left..........

Its 2025, there's no excuse for a software update taking 12 hours. My new 2025 Vantage will arrive this week our dealer. He told me the latest 12hr (very long) SW update is already installed. So we will get in march to my birthday all new improvements.

I’m test driving a new new Vantage this weekend - hope that this version of software is fitted as I’m assessing how easy it is to turn off the EU nanny aids (as part of seeing if I’m ready to swap my 2019 Vantage). This is certainly a step in the right direction and reflects what some other manufacturers are doing in having shortcuts to turn this stuff off more easily.
Thanks for sharing.

and finally Android Auto works...albeit via a cable, not wireless.
I recently bought this gadget to enable wireless for Android Auto.
If the paired mobile phone has Bluetooth switched on, after entering the car with the phone, Android Auto appears on the car screen without requiring any commands.
People seem to be very enthusiastic about Apple Car Play and Android Auto, but apart from being able to have Google Navigation displayed on the car screen, I have not yet found much else of use to me. What functions do you like to use?

Waze is useful for speed camera alerts. Especially the mobile ones. I find the CarPlay interface good for finding podcasts too; and I quite like the way it will read out texts and WhatsApp messages, and let you dictate a response. Whether all of this is now available on “regular” ICE I don’t know. BenAstonV12 said:
New software update is much better. Dials, numbers, gear selection, drive mode are all bigger, clearer. Turning off the driving aids is much easier and finally Android Auto works...albeit via a cable, not wireless.
This is brilliant news for AML and owners alike, especially as the issues with the previous software version (small font size, no wireless Android Auto, difficult to turn off ADAS, etc.) may have held back some folks in pulling the trigger on purchase of this revised range.Dewi 2 said:

There’s a few Apps I like to use, one being ability to stream a huge library of music from my preferred streaming service (Qobuz), catching up with my favourite podcasts, listening to streamed Radio (DAB is generally appalling, especially where I live), choice of ‘connected/Traffic aware’ SatNav (Waze/Google/Apple), receiving spoken texts/imessage/WhatsApp (as well as ability to hand-free notify folks if I’m running late or journey update). For me, it’s been a superb addition, though on my 2019 V8V, I had to have a 3rd Party box added on to enable CarPlay.BenAstonV12 said:
Finally... Aston discovers 21st century tech! Dials and numbers you can actually read and Android Auto... with a touch screen ;-)
This is great news and is a definite improvement/upgrade - thanks for sharing!! Should help anyone who's been waiting for this upgrade before placing an order for the latest gen cars (which will hopefully arrive with this latest f/w version)..Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
