2011 Rapide - Battery off switch error code
Discussion
Hello!
First time posting. I've had a good search through previous posts on this site and others and we're stuck.
We had a Rapide come to our garage with a hydro-locked engine. The engine has been removed, rebuilt and refitted. We've then reconnected everything up and it's on our ramp but despite many attempts and many attempts at fixes that we've seen online, we can't get the engine to attempt to turn over. When putting the key in we get an error stating: 'Check battery off switch'
So far we've:
- replaced battery
- checked all connections and earths
- checked switch inputs and outputs
- tried starting holding the switch down
- tried bypassing the switch
- checked all fuses and relays
When the key is initially input, the dash lights up, does a few checks but we have not yet seen the EML come on. After 5 seconds or so, it seems to drop into a 'safety mode' of sorts.
Looking for some ideas with where to check next, to try and get the thing to fire up and get rid of the error.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
