Another new Aston Martin owner
Discussion
Hi all,
I've just become the proud owner of my first Aston, a DB9 in Meteorite Grey over Obsidian Black, sports pack, 18k miles, FAMSH.
I'm Ronnie, I live in North Wiltshire, and I'm a long-time petrolhead who's been working his way up the ladder of marques (Mercedes - Jaguar - Maserati - Porsche) and can finally say that I've reached my dream car
I know it's not the newest or most expensive but it's what I've been lusting after for years.
I also own a Mercedes SL320 which was meant to be a fun car for a European summer road trip and then sold again. It has snuck into my heart and I'm unable to part with it now!
Anyway, I've been trailing through the posts in this forum and want to thank everyone for the knowledge I've gained while searching for my perfect car over the past few months.
Friday, when I bought it:

At this weekend's Pistonheads Sunday Service, 250 miles later (hence the muck!)

It's going to Aston Installations on Tuesday to have the Android Auto / CarPlay upgrade, front and rear parking cameras, and headlight demisters fitted.

Welcome to the club Ronnie, great car and colour. If you've not already looked into have a think about joining the Aston Martin Owners Club https://www.amoc.org lots going on this year with the Clubs 90th anniversary celebrations. You are in Area 13 of the club and they seem to be quite active.

I’d second this - joining AMOC has been fantastic, and I’ve met many lovely people with a shared passion (and made many new friends) as well as going on some really enjoyable road trips together through Germany & France. The sound of 22 V8 & V12 Astons travelling fast on a German Autobahn is a sound to be savoured and remembered! Here’s some YouTube clips from that trip where Area 7 met up with the German AMOC guys;Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
