Carly ODB Scanner for V8V?
Discussion
Like many things pushed by our “friends” on YouTube, it’s worth checking the reviews before purchase.

Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that refunds for the Carly app are not possible. Once the app license has been purchased, cancellation rights are lost. We provided you with our terms and conditions before your purchase and asked for your approval by clicking the checkbox at checkout. Hence, we recommend that you try the free Lite version of our app first. The Lite version shows you exactly which functions are available for your connected car model if you choose to unlock more Carly Features. We have programmed the free Lite version of the Carly app to provide full transparency on what the app can do with your car before you buy it. Please note that if your Carly app has renewed, a refund is not possible. We clearly communicate on our website and during checkout that Carly features in the app are billed annually and renew automatically. We also ask for your approval prior to purchase to ensure that you are aware of our terms and conditions. To avoid being charged for the upcoming year, it is essential to cancel the automatic renewal before the renewal date.

Does the fox well system do the same job as Astons AMDS?
Thanks,
John
Nope, the Foxwell is an advanced OBDII tool it does much more than an off the shelf generic OBDII reader, with many more AM specific parameters supported, but its no substitute for full factory diagnostics. Thanks,
John

Carly is a pile of rubbish, it throws up fault codes that don't even exist and has you running around on a wild goose chase.
...then there's the annual subscription - it's a rip-off.
I've heard good things about the previously mentioned Foxwell
However I use the iCarSoft CR V2.0 scanner for all of my cars (BMW, Jag, Range Rover & V8V) and its a great piece of kit. You need to download the Ford software to talk to the Aston's Engine Management Computer, and the Volvo software for the other ECU's (all free to download) and it works

Thanks all for your feedback, Bogie... is there a list anywhere of the AM parameters the Foxwell offers? Can't seem to find anything concrete...
Never seen a list of manufacturer specific, but know that Foxwell have added features with software releases over time. Not sure about support for the post 2019 Astons though.I've only used mine a few times over the years to verify basic faults like O2 sensor. There is so much info available on it, but I couldnt tell you which is AM specific or would be available on a generic OBD2 tool
Overview of features is listed on sites like https://www.diagnostic-world.com/pages/Aston_Marti...
