I've not previously been a fan of aero additions to the VH platform cars, but the rear wing has started to grow on me...
A bit of googling has found these are available at around 5k.. I was interested to see this comment :
'ASTON MARTIN ADVISE THAT THIS WING MUST ONLY BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AMR FRONT SPLITTER, GURNEY AND DIVE PLANES'
Is this because use without the front end would unbalance the car?

Semi educated guess: a big rear wing does increasing amounts of work the faster you go. As it does so by pressing the back end into the road, it will canterlever the front end up slightly. So front end lift and steering vagueness increases. You need something on the front end to keep it glued down at those high speeds.
I don’t think this would likely be that much of an issue at road legal speeds in the dry - or at least I’d be surprised it it were. Add in water, or ratchet the speed up, and then things might get tricky.

It depends how fast you intend to drive your V12V, fitted with a rear wing.
The initial expense could perhaps be offset, by stopping your pension payments. You may not need a pension.

Yes that’s the one … The aerokit was more than double that price when it came out, certainly fitted anyway.
Price now seems to back that up still, and surprisingly this site is suggesting they are still available to order.
https://www.astonstore.co.uk/product/amr-aero-kit/
The kit included the rear wing, a new double depth front splitter, dive planes and two full length side sills. So whilst the wing was likely the single most expensive item, there was a lot of CF in the kit and relative to the current generation of models that much CF for £12k seems a bargain now.
As for fitting the wing without the other parts, I think 99.9% of the time you would be just fine. I may not push the car to crazy speeds on a track, but at road legal speeds I doubt you would ever be able to tell.
Ive seen a few people split kits up over the years, sometimes to put part of a kit on a roadster etc.... so thats probably how these half kits have ended up trading hands.
There are some websites that do non OEM even larger wings, but I think some of these do look a bit OTT, perhaps its just because I know its not OEM and therefore it automatcally feels "not right" - dunno... The OEM kit is a retail finished GT4 race car kit from that Vantage era. You can buy actual race GT4 wings etc.. but the quality of the CF finish is significanly below what you would want to put on a road car.
Had mine on since shortly after Aston released the AMR Accessory range never regretted it at all. It certainly adds to the drama of the car, without IMHO, spoiling the stunning looks. In the end I finished up putting on the AMR V12VS Powerkit too a couple of years later, which cosmetically adds the CF rear splitter blade too, replacing the painted original factory blade.

Reverie GT3 rear wing and GT4 splitter incl. 4 dive planes. Car feels very nice balanced and is a joy to drive. You should talk to Valiant Ecosse (Alister Robertson) at the Nurburgring. Ex-factory-AMR mechanic and as far as I know he has new GT4 reproduction rear wings in very high quality on stock. Drop him a mail, good guy, one man show though.

Hi AdamV12V - I don't think I can stretch to the full kit, but it does look great on yours.. Price now seems to back that up still, and surprisingly this site is suggesting they are still available to order.
