Hello,

I would like to disable the DRL configuration on my 1997 DB7 ?
Do you have an idea where to look at ? OBD / Fuse box or relay, commodo ?

Best regards
yA

I am assuming DRL stands for daytime running lights.

The VH Vantage and DB9 (perhaps not including the later models) do not have DRLs.
Therefore, surely DB7s do not have them either.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply, the headlights are always on when I insert the key.
Is it an OBD configuration, a trick on the switch lever or a modification to the relay?
Regards

Sorry, but I don't know.

Presume that it must be something unique to your car.
Perhaps an auto electrician is needed.

Hello,
The DB7 is coming from the states, I suppose that this requirement must be applied to all cars in some states and in Canada.

Where are you based? And where did your car come from? Because this sounds typical of a "fix" to sell into the Scandinavian markets where DLRs had been mandated (well before the EU thought it was a good idea) and many cars, some Volvos included, would simply have the headlights "always on" rather than have dedicated DLRs.

I am located in Belgium, the DG7 comes from Greenwich CT, imported into Germany.
But I agree with you, this is certainly a fix and I guess in the commodo. I will investigate.

For the headlight on option there is an additional fuse fitted, but I cant recall which.

I am sure it says in the fuse guide in the manual
