So my V12VS his 7 and a bit years old. Its done 61,300km mostly without incident
Having read lots of info on here I understood that after 7 years and 70,00km (whichever comes fiorst) its time to do 3 major item at service
1. coil packs
2. plugs
3. ASM pipes
So with the assistance of DAE (thanks James) i got upgraded DAE ASM pipes and coil packs sent over from the UK. I sourced plugs elsewhere and manifold gaskets from a guy in the US who had some spare ones and organised it all to be done with the annual service.
all went according to plan and I picked the car up today.
Mechanic advised me the coil packs and plugs were in perfect condition but thats ok, the ASM pipes were cracking. Really pleased i had them done as most of our "driving days" are in the country on backroads in Queensland or NSW and if they failed hundreds of kms from a major city they would have been a significant issue.
the really good news is after 61,00km the brake pads are perfect and not anywhere near ready to be replaced (for the first time) - the joy of ceramics
Just thought Id let fellow Vantage drivers with ASM gearboxes know what happens to the pipes over time
Graze

Interesting to note. My new (to me) this year V12VSR is coming up to 8 years old but has only covered 17k miles so far. Its due a service in January and under extended warranty to I will be sure to ask them to check the ASM pipes.
apparently they are hard to get at Bogie - involves dropping transaxle to get to top of gearbox - but I'm happy i spent the money to do itGraze
