Not sure about the styling on all Zagatos - in some aspects they improve on the original, but in another areas... well let's just say they are an acquired taste.

Someone well-versed in Aston geekery please school me: this car has carbon fibre lightweight seats. Did some loophole in North American regulations permit these to be optioned on Zagatos (as they were not allowed on any other road legal, Bez era cars AFAIK)? Or perhaps this car was not bought in North America and is only being sold there?

Edit: Never mind, just saw the "show and display" disclaimer.

Love these, but strangely they don’t shift judging by this lovely example at AM Bristol. It seems to have been up for sale for a couple of years. It’s up for £475k. Previously Bristol had this one for closer to £600k a few years ago (obviously could have sold for less).

I do love these. They are rare, have a racing pedigree, are made from hand-formed aluminium panels, etc.

I would love to buy one, take off that stupid big spoiler and pay Zagato to design a good looking ducktail for it..

You mean like R-Reforged "Heritage Twins"?

I wonder what happened to this project? Did any find their way into customer hands? I thought it a brilliant idea (apart from the price and that you had to buy them in pairs!). Drop the spoiling spoiler and base it on the last-gen V12S with SportShift. Reintroduce the original alloy designs and you have the most desirable VH era Vantage.

(A quick search and there's mention of Ian Callum's Vanquish re-imagining being done in association with R-Reforged: https://www.evo.co.uk/aston-martin/vanquish/205274... )

The spoiler was needed to keep the rear wheels on the road.

I was told by someone who had driven one with and without a spoiler that if felt loose and not pinned down without the spoiler.

$ 9000 servicing bill for a car that hasnt done a couple of thousand miles.

Aston tax at it’s finest.

the yellow roadster looks incredible though, odd AML didn't just do a limited run of roadsters with it.

It is dumb making people buy in pairs, I'd think that would dramatically reduce the take on something already gd expensive.

Pretty much yes. Although I do like a ducktail and I find lifting spoilers often very ugly and badly executed. I would still want my car to look good when a spoiler is up, especially at those price points.
