2010 DBS Volante!! - Just bought at auction unseen!
Discussion
Ok, so I bid on this, and it did not meet the sellers reserve.

The next day I get an email telling me I have won it, as the seller has accepted my bid.
I bought a 599 like this 2 years ago on the same platform, but I had a good view of it first, with a test drive and plenty of time spent with the owner.
This time it was just a punt, only looking at the pictures and description, but I like the look of the car, with it being a demo, then 1 owner from new and all those main dealer services.
My question is before I collect it in a few weeks, what should I look out for regarding common problems etc.
Also any independents in the Essex / London area that are well regarded to service it, or is it worth keeping up the main dealer history?
I intend to keep it 2-3 years as long as it is reliable and put maybe 5k miles a year on it.
Hopefully some owners on here can guide me in the right direction, I will be taking a mechanic with me on the day of collection, but has no experience of Aston Martins.

Congratulations! What a bargain! You wouldn’t be able to buy a DBS Volante in mainland Europe at that price.
Not much to look out for in my opinion, V12 is pretty bombproof, as is the ZF automatic gearbox.
Only items that would need checking are the carbon ceramic disc brakes, they’re quite expensive to replace.
Agressive cleaning products like wheel cleaners can damage the discs. The finish should be mirror like.

I wonder why it was at auction? I always assume perhaps wrongly that cars only go into auctions if there's something wrong with them. But that looks excellent.

I it was me I'd take it to Nicholas Mee and ask them to crawl all over it and report back. They have AMDS and you'll get a wings logo in the book.Congratulations, you got a great deal by sounds of it. I have basically the same car albeit mine has only done 15k miles. The only significant thing I've had to have done was two new fuel pumps and filters. The place I took it to said it's not uncommon nowadays due to the ethanol in fuel destroying the seals in the pumps (I was sceptical). I live in Florida so not sure if it's the same in the UK. Might be worth a quick check.
