Discussion
Hi guys,
I seem to be continually posting regarding the colours of the AMV8 and seem to be getting more & more confused!! There seem to be different names for the same colours so I am asking a favour. As I do not know how to post pics could people tell me if the colors listed below are in fact all AM colours or if they are one colour given 2 different names.
Many thanks.
Platinum Silver
Bright Silver
Tungsten Silver
Oyster Silver
Mercury Silver
Meteorite silver

In answer to the original question, there are no such AM colours as Platinum Silver or Bright Silver.
The following are genuine AM colours
Tungsten Silver - Bond Vanquish Colour
Oyster Silver - Has a red/pink hue in it
Mercury - is a very flat colour with a green hue
Meteorite - is the darkest

What do you call my DB9 colour then ?

I was originally thinking of Toro Red (with dark tan interior) for my one due next Q1/Q2 2006.
The problem is that I’m about 70% colour-blind – so I have to defer to my wife on colour decisions – and she put a firm veto on the red + tan concept.
Silver is out because I just don’t like it and green is out because my wife is convinced it’s an unlucky colour for a car. I’m not enough of an extrovert for yellow or orange … and our current three cars are all different shades of blue, so it’s time for a change.
So what does that leave? Looks like black or mid/dark grey.
I’m sure it will look good, but I can’t help feeling this would be a bit of an easy cop-out – a slightly dull, conservative and middle-aged choice.

Good grief man, You're buying an Aston Martin V8 , not a Jaguar XJR. Don't knock yourself so quick. Any of the main colours look great.

FWIW I rather like the red and thought it looked very good when on display at Shelsey Walsh. Decision between that and black for me I think.
