2014 V12VS - Problems following battery disconnect
Discussion
I had to disconnect my battery on Wednesday, and when I reconnected it this morning I'm having problems.
The drivers seat is stuck in the fully forward position and the drivers window won't go up or down.
I've had a bit of a search and it looks like it will need to be connected to AMDS to rectify.
If anyone has any suggestions/hacks that might resolve this without AMDS please could you let me know!
Thanks!!

Ok.. so just in case anyone else ends up where I was earlier..
With the battery reconnected I :
1) Hold the seat adjuster knob fully forward and eventually the seat will click. Then by taking the seat through its full range of motion in each direction it remembers that its a seat!!
2) Hold the window lever fully down and the window dropped and would return to closed. The auto drop for door open/close also came back to life.
So I'm almost back in the game, now just need to sort out the tracker that is preventing the car form starting.. And the oil level sensor is now reporting as failed.

Sorry if I’m suggesting the obvious, but have you tried disconnecting the battery again and double checking the connection is on properly. Also, maybe check the battery is fully charged. Connect a charger if you have one.
John
It’s now running again.. John
Battery is only a couple of years old and she’s left on trickle charger..
There’s still a number of fault codes to sort out but hoping connection to AMDS will sort those.

And yet my PC remembers everything when the power is switched off, as does the TV. Why didn't Aston Martin put a small piece of that kind of memory in their cars?
I was talking to a ex factory guy recently who said AML purposely scrimped on engine management system to save costs. The Bosch system has the bare minimum of functionality. CatalystV12V said:
