Another track film, comparing a V12 Vantage with a V8 Vantage.

It was nice to see a bit of love for the sweeter handling attributes of a well set up V8.
True its nice to see the V8V getting praise, but lets not forget this is the original V12V. The V12VS not only really improved on the power delivery but also added the 3 stage adaptive suspension that really took the V12VS handling to another level over the V12V. That's not to say the V12V isn't a great car, it certainly is, but its not the final itteratation, so he perhaps ought to have compared it to a 4.3 V8V really for a level playing field. Its also a heavily modified V8V that he is comparing to the V12V, so certainly not a meaningful comparison for potential buyers of the two road cars.
Sure the gearbox went to SSIII initially which can overshadow reviews, but for sure the power and handling of the V12VS is a big step up over the V12V. I'd be fairly sure if he ran the 4.7 V8V against the V12VS, especially one with the CF buckets instead of the std sports seats, the decision wouldn't have ended the same.
So the video is a fun watch, but I dont think any conclusions can be drawn for the road cars, its an apples vs oranges review.
