I have 2013 Vantage S with the 30 pin and usb sockets in the arm rest but no lead. Has anyone on here used the Bovee 1000 tune 2 air Bluetooth device? It can be purchased with the Jaguar/Land Rover lead which I believe is the same as the Aston for about £120.

I would like to be able to play music from Spotify on an iPhone with the newer lightening port. I know Apple play would be the ideal solution but not sure I can justify the cost and amount of work and would also like to keep it a factory as possible.

Let me know what you guys have used.

Many Thanks

Aldhun

Is there an auxillary socket? If so, connect your phone and off you go. I connect my ipnone to my DB9 GT Volante via the auxillaru socket and use Waze etc...

I've used Bovee products in a few vehicles including my DB9 and they work very well. Only thing I found in the past with a different vehicle was that the cheaper cables available seem not to work, you have to buy the OEM one.

I used Aston Installations Ltd who provided the correct cable and I got a Bovee from them too in a 2008 Vantage (plus my usb socket didn’t supply power so got that replaced too). It works well and can play podcasts / music etc through a Bluetooth iPhone link to the car. There are much more involved conversions to give full AppleCarplay and HD satnav screens etc but I don’t do enough miles to justify….

I have used the Bovee in my previous DB9 2011 and now in my 2014 v 10 R8
both were easy to use and worked perfectly.

I use Invery (same sort of thing) in my V8V and previously in my DB9 - works brilliantly.

Yes - thats the setup we have in our V8V

( Apologies its not a great picture )

When we bought the car it already had the cable so the dealer just supplied the Bove1000, Which looking at the invoice they got direct from Aston Installations. it works really well.

Just one small point regarding streaming Spotify on an iPhone. You need to have at least one paid for track from Apple/iTunes downloaded on the device otherwise it won’t stream. BRM.

Yes - same for streaming from Apple Music - at least one track must have been downloaded to the device (presumably so that the car recognises it to be an iPod?). The device can then stream music through the car without the need for those tracks to be downloaded

Also have Bovee in V8V N400 Roadster. Can anyone here offer me advice of how to have sound from Waze (iPhone) for satnav but not have music play at the same time?

Really keen to hear / see outcome of jaguar / LR cable as no cable in my 14 plate vantage. Apple play seems a huge chunk of cash to listen to music but hey ho maybe next year 😇

Not possible due to the way the iPhone works.

However, if you spend 70p or whatever, you can download an eight minute silent track called “A A A Very Good Song” which effectively allows you to do just that.

Downloaded that song before (and had it refunded immediately) it is blank, yes, but right at the end has the producer saying something for last 3 secs, it annoyed me to have that.

I might have found another way using shortcuts automation, still testing how well it works. But basically you set up new automation to pause music on iPhone after Bluetooth connects to bovee with a delay of 5secs. If it works well will give full instructions of exactly how to do it.

Bought my Vantage this week and first thing I did.

Bought an INVERY (same thing ) but for £83. My Vantage already had the cable. (They do one with cable I'd yoy need it. Jaguar/land rover one fits)

I have an Android phone and use spotify. Works a treat.

Make sure you hook your bluetooth to the phone first, then the INVERY bluetooth and you then use the 'ipod' setting on the stero. Track detaiks come up and yoy can skip to next track etc. Track will pause when someone calls. Automatically connects now when I start up the car.

I don’t have the lead for mine. You can buy a specific invery one for jaguar Land Rover with a built in lead or maybe I’m better to buy the one you got and then get a lead separately? Just concerned as some people say certain leads don’t work. Is the Invery and Bovee the same? They look almost identical

Was in the same boat as you this week and looking online jaguar/land rover lead will fit if you dont have one. (There are other leads with Audi etc but think that's a different fitting)

Similar product. Ordered mine very late in the day and came the next day.

Fews pics and confirmation here.....
