Hi,

Just spotted 3 eBay adverts for 3 different "007 Racing Edition" V8 Vantages. I've never seen these colour combinations before (especially the interior colours!)

Can anyone shed some light on the "007 Racing Edition" ...is it a genuine article/s?

They all seem to be 007 of 007 according to their plaque.

Interior trimming is awful.

I vaguely recall these as being all commissioned by one customer for the European market -I want to say German or Swiss perhaps ?

The Saudi Royal family have/had a large collection of special order Aston’s and assume these are being sold off from the collection. Tim Cottingham at AHMT would no doubt be able shed light on these!

The whole 007 Aston Martin thing is utter, utter cringe.

Yeah, I noticed that too, that's why I thought they were bogus.

The N420 came in these colour combos externally, but not those internals as far as I am aware.

So unless the name was changed for China or the far east perhaps?

This is the complete list of Aston Martin factory, Vantage Limited and Special Editions, 2005 to 2018.

Therefore as already suggested, others will either be individual customer, or dealer commissioned special orders.
Perhaps the most famous are the RAF related cars, commissioned by Aston Martin Cambridge.

More info on them here

Looks like the whole collection sold a couple of times. Consistent reference to the 007 edition.

What I do know from Tim C is that only 4 V8V's were ever built in Kermit Green and that 3 of them had lipstick and were N420's. The 4th one - Im told didnt have lipstick, but it could have been added later.

Looks like a Saudi Royal family connection in one of the ads.

One additional thing intrigues me.

“007 of 007” - are there four others knocking about?

All I can think of is if the TV show Banana Splits drove Vantages, they’d look like these!

Wow, bold exterior colour choices for 2010, which is to be applauded. Those interiors are certainly challenging though. What a shame, with a little restraint they could have been quite something.

You certainly can't buy taste, the yellow with green accents is particularly disturbing.

Watching this helps to neutralise the negative impact.

Two of the N24 cars were yellow/green.
'Rose' had fame on Top Gear. James May did not like a stripped out race car for road use!
